| Hey guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love you all and miss you so much!!!!!! I just wanted you to know that last week I was around four Slovaks in close quarters at the Boston Bruins/Minnesota Wild NHL hockey game here!!! Squash, I thought of you! So here are their names and where they are from! Two of them are from Trencin! Pavol Demitra from Dubnica Branko Radivojevic from Piestany Marian Gaborik from Trencin (also Ben's favorite player in the whole world, he has good taste in hockey players as well as girlfriends, right?) Zdeno Chara from Trencin It was a great game. And the Wild won. And there were lots of fights in the stands as well as on the ice. I had a blast. Gaborik got hit at the end of the game from behind and then Demitra started fighting the guy who had committed the offense. ..... Well, I'm off to school in Seattle, clear across the country for ten days. E-mail me and let me know how you all are. God bless you, dears. You are in my thoughts. | | |
| Well, I've been spending a month in Minnesota and it is COLD. Temperatures are averaging below zero Fahrenheit, which is VERY cold. I've been trying to get all my writing finished for school. It's going very well. I still think about you all very often and miss you. I hope life is treating you well. I've been reading my subscription e-mails a lot lately. So it's good to know where you are. I will be finishing up in Boston in May and then after that back to Mississippi for a couple months and then who knows? I have applied and am continuing to apply for several teaching jobs here in the US which I am really excited about. And my school will be finishing at my last residency in August in Santa Fe, New Mexico. So here's some Minnesota pics for you. Much Love! God bless you all. Here's a verse that's meant a lot to me lately: "The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field; and this is smaller than all other seeds, but when it is full grown, it is larger than the garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches." Matt 13:31-32. Love you. Lubim ta! (is that plural?)
PS That's me trying not to smile and laugh in the very serious hockey guy pose with Ben and his dad! ;) | | |
| So here's a few pics from home. I got to be with my family for a few days and it was wonderful! And Ben drove twenty hours to pick me up. What a trooper! And here's me and my friend Kathleen being silly. I know you can't believe that.

| Hey dear ones!!!! So it's only been a few months since my last update. Ha. Hope to hear good things about you all. Miss you. Miss Slovakia. It's been a busy, busy good few months here in Boston, but I am happy to say I am headed home to Mississippi tomorrow for a brief vacation. Ben is coming with me to hang out with my family and stuff, so that will be great. It will be his first time in the South. I am in school fulltime still, and working hard on that. My next homework packet is due on Monday, and I have lots to get accomplished before then. I got to spend some time on Martha's Vineyard the weekend before last and it was beautiful. Fall has been really lovely here in New England with the changing leaves. It is already starting to get cold, though, so not too long till Winter makes its appearance. I loved last winter, so I really don't mind. My lease will be running up here in May, and I have enjoyed parts of living in Boston, but I have to say I am ready to be away from the city once it's all said and done. Last weekend, I got to hear Brennan Manning speak. He wrote The Ragamuffin Gospel which you should all read if you haven't. That was really good. Anyway, so this is a pretty boring update! Now you see why I haven't been doing them! I have been reading a book on Henry David Thoreau for school that's super good. I saw a Slovak hockey player on TV the other day being interviewed and I met a girl on Martha's Vineyard who was of Slovak descent. I got to talk to Naomi on the phone not too long ago and she seems to be doing really well. Of course, we laughed alot and then we laughed some more. No surprises there. If any of you wants to follow in Janka's shoes and head to the US, just know you always have a place to stay. Always. Always. Here are some of my favorite pics from English camp. | | |
